A house built on trust

Walk through the Sector 30C market and you'll find us where we've always been: Booth No. 6, the shop with the lit-up window. MS Jewellers opened here thirty years ago, and we haven't moved since. We never needed to.

The shop is run by Surinder Pal and Manjit Kaur — their names are painted on the board outside, right next to their personal phone numbers. That isn't a design choice. It's how we work. If you have a question about a piece, or something needs fixing years after you bought it, you call the people who own the shop, and one of us picks up.

Thirty years is long enough to serve the same family three times over. Customers who bought their wedding set from us in the nineties now come in with their daughters, and some of our regulars first stood at this counter holding their mother's hand. That kind of trust isn't built with advertising. It's built by being here, every day, and standing behind every piece that leaves the shop.

We've stayed a small shop on purpose. Here, the person who weighs your gold and quotes your price is the same person who will greet you next year, and the year after. There are no sales targets and nobody hovering at your shoulder. Sit down. Take your time. Ask to see the piece twice.

What we carry has grown over the years — gold and silver first, then diamond and gemstone work, and the special silver pieces families come to us for before weddings and pujas. How we buy hasn't changed: slowly, piece by piece, choosing only what we would keep in our own home.
